REHEARSALS FOR FRANK SIDEBOTTOM CALLING IN GEOFF'S BRIGHTLY COLOURED GARAGE
John (Mike), John (Jim), and John (Pete) have been meeting every Monday for what experts would probably call "rehearsals." They start, as all important cultural meetings do, with a cup of tea and a chat about things that are not the show. After this vital period of hydration and social bonding, they'd proceed into Geoff's garage. Geoff is the owner of the tea, biscuits, and garage, and a man who has, over time, developed a signature phrase: "Why do we bother?" The phase has since spread like a mild infection to the Johns. It is the birthplace of the Frank Sidebottom Calling poster, which recreates the famous image from The Clash's London Calling–the one where a man smashes a guitar in a moment of what can only be described as "rock-related stress."
